7. Industrial practices
In practice, as in the case of standards, each sector has developed its own benchmark for the realization of functionally safe IT systems. In the following, we look at current practices in terms of software functional safety in a number of key sectors of French industry.
The rail transport sector essentially operates according to the rules laid down by the main operators, who are in a position to support the development of equipment, and whose acceptance has reference value.
