1. Study of detergents and their mode of action

1.1 Factors for optimizing the washing process

Washing containers depends on five essential factors:

  • the nature and concentration of detergent solutions used ;

  • the temperature of these solutions ;

  • contact time between container and solutions;

  • the mechanical action caused by injections, the movement of parts displaced in the machine, and the currents created by the deluge pumps designed to remove and convey the labels from the bottles to the screen extractors;

  • the relative percentage of injection and dip processing.
