1. Feeding empty bottles

1.1 PET bottles (or other plastics)

PET polyethylene terephthalate.

Major beverage manufacturers (mineral water, soft drinks) blow their own bottles (see [AG 6 600] ).

  • If blow-moulding and filling speeds are the same, the empty blow-moulded bottles can be sent directly to the fillers via forced-air conveyors.

    In these conveyors, the PET bottles are hung by their necks...
