4. Laminating

Laminating is a "complexing" process, combining two or more layers of product, to give a finish equivalent to a very fine varnish.

The cost of laminating is higher because of the processing required.

  • There are several types of lamination

    • brilliant ;

    • mat ;

    • satin ;

    • metallic gold, silver ;

    • pearly ;

    • iridescent.

  • The different films used for lamination are :

    • cellulose acetate, which gives a high-gloss finish. It resists abrasion, scratching, tearing, stretching and heat. It is not sensitive...
