2. Anti-corrosion protection

The quality of anti-corrosion protection depends on the initial state of the material; it is essential to go back up the manufacturing chain, to recommend the use of suitable storage facilities and inter-operation protection methods to obtain parts free of corrosion or pollution at the time of pre-packaging protection operations.

Corrosion-sensitive parts delivered without anticorrosive products are to be considered as oxidized.

If these precautions have not been taken, it is necessary to subject the equipment to a special cleaning treatment including (if compatible) degreasing, pickling, derusting or derusting, with mechanical assemblies dismantled prior to any treatment.
