4. Hazardous materials packaging

This packaging corresponds to category 8 of the SEI specifications. They concern products classified as "dangerous goods" which, by their nature, require specific packaging and regulated packaging depending on the mode of transport used, i.e. :

• Land transport: CITMD and OCTI regulations / ROI and ADR codes;

• maritime transport: IMO regulations / IMDG code ;

• air transport: ICAO regulations / IATA code.

For the packaging of these products [19] , the manufacturer must provide the packer with all the necessary information concerning their classification, to enable him to apply correctly the various national and international regulations in force.
