Biodegradable (plastic)

"A plastic that is capable of undergoing physical or biological decomposition, such that it ultimately breaks down into carbon dioxide (CO2), biomass, and water, and is, in accordance with European standards applicable to packaging, recoverable through composting and anaerobic digestion. " (Dir. SUP 2019/904, Art. 3 § 16).
