Principle
The operating principle of a nuclear power plant alternator is similar to that of any other alternator, whose purpose is to transform the mechanical energy of the rotor into electrical energy at the stator winding by means of an electromagnetic field rotating in the air gap and channeled through the magnetic circuit (figure 5 ).
