1.1 Design, manufacture, operation
The turbine transforms the thermal energy of the steam coming from the SGs into mechanical energy. It is divided into several casings in which the steam gradually expands: a high- and medium-pressure casing (HP casing) and two or three low-pressure casings with tappings.
