1. General structure

  • Chemical structure

    Fluorocarbon elastomers are synthesized from a limited number of organic monomers, mainly highly fluorinated entities:

    • propylene hexafluoride – HFP ;

    • vinylidene fluoride – VF 2 ;

    • tetrafluoroethylene – TFE;

    • perfluoromethylvinyl ether – PMVE.

    But also :

    • suppliers of vulcanization sites for crosslinking by organic peroxide/coagent systems;

    • propylene to facilitate processing.
