6. Conclusion

HDPE manufacturing is a mature technology, apart from a few minor developments in catalysts and processes. The HDPE market is set to grow further globally, driven by growing demand in Asia. In mature markets such as Europe and North America, innovation will focus on collection and sorting for mechanical recycling and the use of recycled HDPE.
