Gel Permeation Chromatography – Size Exclusion Chromatography (GPC-SEC)

Measurement method for measuring the macromolecular distribution of a HDPE grade.

MFR (Melt Flow Ratio)

Melt flow index (MFI) gives an idea of the viscosity of the HDPE grade and, indirectly, of its processability. The MFR is widely used by industry, due to its low cost and speed, but gives only a partial view of HDPE rheology. For a complete view, a dynamic viscometric analysis is required, which is much more comprehensive, but more time-consuming and costly to perform.
