3.1 Constructive functions and solutions
The clamping unit includes functions for opening and closing the mold, but also for locking the mold and ejecting parts.
In this section, we'll take a brief look at solutions for realizing the functions of the closing group.
Closing and opening the mold: the movements of the moving part of the mold are ensured by a hydraulic or mechanical device. The actuator of the mechanical device can be hydraulic or electric.
