12. Conclusion

Looking at the injection cycle from the point of view of the cavity, we can understand and resolve the most common defects in injected parts. Optimizing cavities to minimize injection cycle times is essential for optimizing production costs and energy consumption.

Similarly, optimizing the overall mold design minimizes the environmental impact of injection molding production and generates industrial performance.

Increasing the level of expertise in terms of design and understanding of the critical phenomena involved in filling cavities and cooling injected parts can only improve global competitiveness, in both economic and environmental terms.
