1. What data do you need from your new supplier?

Before making a decision, it's a good idea to gather information about your future supplier and the chemicals he will supply.

  • name and country of supplier (indicating whether distributor) ;

  • your substance's main identification numbers (e.g. CAS No., EC No. [ELINCS or EINECS], chemical and/or trade name);

  • in the case of a mixture, the percentage of each substance present; each substance in the mixture must be taken individually;

  • the quantity in tonnes you wish to obtain from this supplier for each substance as such or/and contained in a mixture;

  • a brief description of your and your customers' uses of the substance.
