What can I do if I don't have the European regulatory information?

When the product is accompanied by "MSDS" (Material Safety Data Sheet) or other documents from abroad, several problems arise:

  • Hazard classification is not based on CLP;

  • the hazardous substances to be listed in the composition are not the same (there may therefore be hazardous substances not indicated by the data sheet);

  • the substance names don't match.

You can then :

  • Immediately request the supplier to provide compliant documentation;

  • Note down the information available to get an initial idea of the hazards;

  • search for substances...
