4. Monitor the effectiveness of the system in place

You must ensure that the system in place is efficient by :

  • Keeping documents up to date: follow-up sheets, registers, etc;

  • PPE in good condition during use.

To this end, you will regularly check that the tracking sheets for each PPE item are correctly completed. To do this, you will compare the information given on the sheet with the actual condition of the PPE, and you will make employees aware of the importance of this information, for their own safety and that of their colleagues. For PPE subject to regulatory controls, this monitoring of the follow-up sheets will enable you to draw up a verification schedule and ensure compliance with inspection frequencies.
