 INTRODUCTION

The safe use of chemical products in the workplace implies the assurance of the absence of undesirable effects on human health when using these products.

The safe use of chemicals is based on the continuous analysis of four interdependent areas of knowledge:

  • intrinsic product hazards ;

  • their uses ;

  • conditions of employment;

  • the control methods used.

This sheet will enable you to set up a continuous exposure risk assessment process based on these four parameters, and to demonstrate that the use of chemicals within your facility complies with the concept of "safe use" or, failing that, is in the process of being improved.

You can follow the process of implementing and documenting conditions for the safe use of chemicals here.
