1.1 Origins and applications

To determine the criticality of an industrial plant's equipment, and in the absence of experience feedback, it is possible to adapt the "brainstorming" method used in companies to find innovative solutions, by bringing together a group of equipment experts, led by a facilitator, to reach a consensus on the various attributes associated with equipment criticality.
