5.1 Definition of accident scenarios

The purpose of this paragraph is to suggest, in the light of the information provided in the preceding paragraphs, the accident scenarios to be used as part of a safety study or hazard analysis. Please note that the elements presented here are based on a flat-rate approach, and that a risk analysis is required to validate the accident scenarios.

It can be foreseen that if a pallet or container of aerosol dispensers is exposed for a certain period of time to a sufficient source of heat, the materials subjected to this source (plastic packaging, cardboard, wood) are likely to catch fire.
