3. Preparation of animation tools

The second major stage in exercise design, often overlooked or underestimated even though it is essential to the smooth running of the simulation, is the preparation of the animation tools. Providing facilitators with the right information and a tool enabling them to share and exchange it effectively during the exercise is essential to the successful execution of the scenario. In this section, two types of animation tools are detailed: animation sheets and mapping. In order to best organize the animation, the distribution of roles is also discussed. Finally, a sub-section on the production of directories for learners and facilitators is proposed.
