1. Assess the CMR risk
Once you have identified the CMR agents in your work area, you need to ask yourself the following questions in order to assess the risks:
Which workstations are affected?
How many employees are exposed at each workstation?
How are products handled (brush application, spraying, application to hot surfaces, etc.)?
How much is handled?
How often, daily, weekly, annually?
What are the routes of employee exposure? Inhalation, ingestion, skin?
What preventive measures are already in place, such as working in confined spaces, capturing pollutants using localized ventilation at source, or general ventilation of the workshop?
