3. R-Nano declaration

3.1 Declaring uses

Information on the various uses of nano substances is mandatory. In addition to the "sector of use" (SU) use, which until now was the only use required, since 2016 four others have been required, namely:

  • the descriptor for the "chemical product" (PC) category;

  • the descriptor for the "process" category (PROC) ;

  • the "article" descriptor (AC) ;

  • the "environmental release category" (ERC) descriptor.

This requires a little more work on the part of the registrants, but gives the authorities an overall view of the different uses of nanos. It is important to allow time for this work, as...
