2. How to determine the performance of "multi-component" MMRs?

When an MMR is made up of several pieces of equipment, it is the overall performance of the MMR that needs to be assessed.

For technical MMRs (SIS type), you need to :

• Break down the MMR to show all its component devices (see figure "Breakdown of a SIS-type technical MMR").

• Evaluate the performance of each device.

• Evaluate the performance of the MMR (set of devices) using the formulas presented in the table "Formulas for evaluating the performance of an MMR".
