The requirements and criteria formulated therein are currently applied in all industrial sectors, particularly in the Anglo-Saxon world where they are used to define reliability-based maintenance procedures outside the automotive industry sector. Inspired largely by John Moubray's RCM2™ method, the RCM-N&H conformity assessment is based on a set of seven questions concerning functions, functional failures, failure modes and their consequences, maintenance tasks and their periodicity.
