QSAR
Qualitative Structure-Activity Relationship: The presence of specific hormone-like chemical structures in a chemical formulation may indicate a potential PE.
Cytochromes
Cytochromes are enzymes present in various tissues and involved in the metabolism of endogenous and exogenous substances, including many drugs.
Cytochrome P450
It's a complex system of iso-enzymes. Four iso-enzymes are involved in the metabolism of around 90% of commonly used drugs. These are generally referred to as CYP 1A2, CYP 2C9, CYP 2D6 and CYP 3A4. The iso-enzymes CYP 2B6, 2C8 and 2C19 are involved in only a few interactions.
