4. What provisions apply to shipping?
4.1 Before leaving the site
In all cases where ADR applies (2, 3, 4 and 5), even partially, a transport document must systematically accompany the goods shipped.
In cases 3 and 5, vehicles carrying dangerous goods must be properly marked.
For the rest, the pre-shipment requirements (driver training, on-board vehicle equipment, loading rules) mainly concern cases where no exemption applies (see Preparing a dangerous goods vehicle for shipment
