2. Updating SDSs for mixtures: how do you go about it?

Updating an SDS involves a logical sequence of actions. After determining the need for this revision (step 1), you need to find out whether the composition of the mixture has changed since the previous edition of the SDS. This may be due to a change in industrial process, raw material, specification, etc.

You must identify each component (the active ingredient and its impurities, additive, etc.) as well as its harmonized classification, if any (see What to do when a substance has a CLP harmonized classification? [FIC 0161] )....
