2. Identify the requirements of the chemicals you use with SDSs and other information from suppliers
Collect the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for raw materials and finished products likely to have an impact on your site's emissions. Record the necessary information in the sections described below.
Section 8.1: PNEC values for the environmental compartments concerned, and emission limit values for national regulations.
Section 8.2.2: Pollution prevention recommendations.
Paragraph 15.1: where applicable, the relevant legislation is indicated.
An exposure scenario (if your SDS includes one): conditions of use leading to a release not exceeding the PNEC (Predicted no Effect Concentration). This may include the type of process, efficiency criteria and permissible production flows according to the receiving environment.
