3. Is buying a substance the same as putting it on the market?
On the basis of the inventory, you can identify the purchased substances you place on the market. To do this, you need to know the country of your supplier.
If your distributor is based in the European Economic Area (EEA), you are not responsible for placing the purchased substance on the market. You are a downstream user as defined by REACh regulations.
If your supplier is not based in the EEA, you are responsible for importing into the European market. As import is automatically considered as placing on the market, you are responsible for placing on the market.
