5. Adapting biological treatment to industrial effluents

The know-how required to master this treatment can be divided into a few main themes:

  • Knowledge of the specific nature of the pollutants generated by a given industrial activity, integrating its seasonality over an annual period as well as the typical cycles of a week, or even a day, of production, which will logically result in the effluents generated.

  • The environmental integration of a treatment plant within an industrial site, with all that this entails in terms of safety, odor and noise control, and landscape integration.

  • Fundamental consideration of the station's reliability, so that it cannot be the cause of a plant production stoppage. Redundancies, measurements, controls and commands are designed with this in mind....
