5. Conclusion

The development of a charge air system increasingly requires a wide range of skills: thermal, fluidic, mechanical, engine, fuel cell, battery, combustion, vehicle, engine control, habitable thermal... The need to simulate the complete vehicle, and not the sub-assemblies independently, is today changing the core business of every equipment manufacturer.

More upstream, collaborative development work between the equipment manufacturer and its subcontractors is needed to design a set of functions, and control their cost, weight and reliability. This evolution in working methods has become essential for better integration of the engine in its vehicle environment and in the various platforms it will equip.
