4. Conclusion

Multi-body simulations are the state of the art for taking into account the complex loadings that characterize internal combustion engines. After a detailed presentation of the major excitations of these machines of vibratory nature [BM 2 610] , this article aims at obtaining the best configuration for a given engine architecture. The methodology described here enables us to better control the vibration of engine components and, consequently, reduce the development time and cost of such complex systems.
