Acyclism

Rotational non-uniformity of the crankshaft during an operating cycle.

Gases forces

Force generated by the variable pressure of gases on the piston.

Inertial force

Force generated by the acceleration of moving parts (piston, connecting rod, etc.).

Lambda or λ ratio

Ratio of the connecting rod centre line distance over the half-piston stroke.

Very widely used by engine manufacturers as it is involved in numerous expressions of forces, torques, speeds, and accelerations for combustion engines.
