INTRODUCTION

In this article, we will only deal with the general study of the air cushion and its field of application as a production tool.

Part of this article is theoretical, but this seemed necessary given the current absence, in the public domain, of a specialized treatise on air cushions.

What's more, given the scarcity of companies specializing in this technique, it's hardly surprising that we only mention the one French company, a pioneer in the field under the leadership of Mr. Jean BERTIN, a company that has acquired such a reputation and specialization that it cannot be seen as advertising.
