4. Conclusion
We have given a number of applications in industry, particularly in mechanical engineering. But we'd also like to point out that the use of the models we've shown goes far beyond this. Examples include the medical field, with knee prostheses, and biology, with models of animal jaws. Theoretical studies and practical realizations are constantly renewed. For example, one of our latest vehicles adopts Tchebicheff's lambda mechanism for describing the straight line. This is why knowledge of the possibilities of articulated systems should be considered a basic element in the training of scientists. It should also be noted that articulated mechanisms can become complex. In particular, mechanisms designed to describe the straight line rigorously have had no practical application. But the theoretical work to which they gave rise was, and still is, of considerable importance.
