4. Hydraulic power transmission

Linear cylinders and fixed-displacement pumps are hydraulic power transmission components often associated with an accumulator and a servo valve, or more recently with a speed-controlled electric motor. Servo valves, which are not very sensitive to scale effects due to the high degree of standardization of their external dimensions, will not be dealt with here.
