3. Different types of depreciation

The purpose of damping is to absorb the kinetic energy generated by the movement of the piston, its rod and the load. A distinction must be made between four different technologies:

  • damping on elastic stop,

  • adjustable pneumatic damping,

  • external hydraulic shock absorber,

  • damping with an intelligent electronic system.
