4. Pneumatic diagrams

4.1 Standardization

The international standard ISO 1219 comprises the following parts, presented under the general title "Hydraulic and pneumatic power transmission – Graphical symbols and circuit diagrams:"

Part 1: Graphic symbols in conventional and computerized use.

Part 2: Circuit diagrams.

Component symbols show the components in their rest position. Symbols for components that do not have a clearly defined rest position must be created in accordance with the component-specific symbol creation rules set forth in Part 1 of ISO 1219.
