3.1 Information chain concept

The information chain enables :

  • acquire information

    • on the condition of a product or one of its components (particularly the energy chain),

    • from man/machine interfaces or other information chains,

    • on a process managed by other systems (database consultation, resource sharing, etc.);

  • to process this information;

  • to communicate the information generated by the processing system in order to assign orders to the energy chain and/or to prepare messages for man/machine interfaces (or other information chains).
