At the same time, feedback is a tool:

• historical archiving of operating data ;

• communication and exchange within local and central engineering departments at industrial sites;

• contributing to the control of safety issues and maintenance costs;

• design assistance ;

• life-cycle management of installations and their equipment, particularly in terms of ageing.

Its analysis enables problems to be detected, analyzed and traced, corrective measures to be taken, the effectiveness of these measures to be verified and included in our "technical heritage" (positive feedback).

Feedback is therefore a natural part of industrial site information and management systems....
