2.1 Technical aspects
The general objective of the project is to evaluate the possibilities offered by co-simulation strategies [Piperno-Farhat, 2000 ; Geuzaine et al. , 2003 ; Benaouicha, 2007 ; Hou et al. , 2012], coupling industrial tools. The aim is to build an incremental approach to the implementation and validation of these methods, starting from “academic” cases in order to reach the complexity of cases representative of industrial needs.
The first work is undertaken on an exploratory basis on the simulation of flow-induced vibrations in the context of “frequency locking”, i.e. the synchronization of the movements of a cylinder (two-dimensional, suspended and placed...
