We will only look at the surface preparation of composites here, as the preparation of metals has already been covered in the article Metal bonding. General information. Characteristics .

Composites can be processed and bonded in the same way as their matrix polymer. We therefore refer the reader to the article Assemblage par collage [A 3 758] in the treatise Plastiques et Composites. Here, however, we will examine in detail the surface preparation methods specific to composite materials.
