3.1 Flow geometry

In all cases, flow-forming causes dimensional deformations - axial, radial and circumferential. Macroscopic material flow can be visualized in two ways:

  • on the surface, examination of the deformation of a generatrix (cylindrical blank) or a median (blank) (figure 5 a)
