Primer
The initiation stage corresponds to the reaction of an A molecule, called an "initiator", which, under the effect of an energy input (light, heat, etc.) reacts (as A or rather in the form of fragments such as free radicals) with a monomer to start a polymerization chain reaction.
Ascendant
A bottom-up approach characterizes the direction of an intellectual process; it can be a synthesis starting from the detail, from the "bottom".
Self-assembly
It refers to the processes by which a disorganized system spontaneously and autonomously assembles and organizes itself, as a result of specific, local interactions between its components.
