Colloid; colloid

A colloid is a two-phase system consisting of a finely divided phase (e.g., nanoparticles) dispersed homogeneously in a continuous phase (usually a liquid).

Colloidal stability

Colloidal stability refers to the ability of a colloid to resist agglomeration, aggregation, and sedimentation of nanoparticles. In other words, the absence of variation in the size of nanoparticles in suspension reflects colloidal stability.
