3.1 Reminder of existing legislation

The INRS and European Chemical Agency websites provide various reminders of existing legislation. The main regulations are listed below:

"No specific regulations currently govern the handling of nanomaterials in France. The general principles relating to the protection of employee health remain applicable, as do the regulations governing the marketing of chemical substances, medicines, cosmetics and foodstuffs."

However, there is an annual declaration obligation for nanomaterials placed on the market in France:
