6. Conclusion

The technological innovations currently being developed in the field of microwaves show that the technological transformation we are experiencing is the result of bold combinations of, on the one hand, nanostructured materials functionalized to exploit optimized magnetic properties, and, on the other hand, highly sensitive measurement techniques that enable a detailed description of the physical mechanisms associated with magnetism and electromagnetism in model nanosystems such as those presented here. It is also an area of nanoscience where the coupling between theory and experiment is proving very fruitful thanks to the development of relatively simple models that are close to reality.
