1. Context

Faced with the difficulty of treating certain types of cancer, original avenues have been explored, drawing on advances in nanoscience and nanotechnology. Since the 2000s, nanoparticles have been the focus of numerous studies aimed at demonstrating their potential to eradicate solid tumors, thanks to their small size and ability to combine multiple complementary properties. By playing on the various physico-chemical parameters of nanoparticles and taking advantage of the particular characteristics of the solid tumor environment, it is possible to design remote-controlled imaging and/or therapy agents.
