 INTRODUCTION

At the heart of the microfluidics boom are emerging nanofluidic devices, which push back the limits of miniaturization by manipulating fluids on scales of less than a hundred nanometers. Not only do they make good model systems for improving our fundamental understanding (nano-hydrodynamics, biomolecule confinement), they are also a highly promising source of potential applications in nanotechnology, analytical chemistry and even optics.
